The simple things you can do...

Okay. Some people in this world don't want to play a part in saving the environment, but I do. If you want to play a part in saving the environment then you can start with simple things like picking up rubbish, not buying bottled water, shorter showers, etc. Just remember, if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.

This is a warning about Global warming

Global warming is a major issue for Antarctica. The hole in the Ozone layer is affecting the Antarctic Peninsula greatly. Each decade the temperature is rising in Antarctica 10% more than the rest of the world. We can stop this by using less cars and stopping the amount of carbon dioxide that is let out into the air.

Top 5 ways to save the environment

Okay. We all want to help the environment so here are my top 5 ways on how to do it.
  • Don't use plastic bags or glad rap. Try to use the Cole's reusable Bags or environmentally friendly bags.
  • Take shorter showers. Try to limit your showers to at least 3 minutes.
  • When you are brushing your teeth don't leave the tap running because you can waste up to 1L.
  • Instead of piling your bins up with old smelly food you can use a compost or worm farm. it uses all your garbage waste to decompose and after about 6 months turns into soil. All naturally.
  • Recycling is a very important part of helping the environment. Instead of throwing everything away you can recycle it so they can be used again and again.

Antarctica

Hey guys my second post is about Antarctica. In school we have been researching an Antarctic animal. I did the Ross Seal. Did you now that the Ross seal is the smallest species of seal that lives in Antarctica? When it is fully grown it is only 214-223kg compared to the elephant seal which can weigh almost triple that!! This is to do with the environment because seals are very intolerant to things that aren't in their diet, for example rubbish!
